Boys Camp Lunchtime Session: Ivy, NESCAC & Selective College Admissions
What Parents of Student-Athletes Should Understand When Aiming High
DETAILS
Jul 27, 2026, 11:45 AM – 12:45 PM EDT
St. George's School - Squash Courts, 372 Purgatory Rd, Middletown, RI 02842
ABOUT THE SESSION
At the most selective colleges, athletic ability can open conversations–but admission is still shaped by academic standards, institutional priorities, and how coaches and admissions offices work together. Many families hear fragments of information about “support,” “bands,” or “slots” without fully understanding how those pieces fit together.
In this session, we’ll clarify:
How admissions offices evaluate student-athletes at highly selective colleges
What coach support typically means…and what it does not guarantee
How academic expectations factor into final decisions
The difference between Division I and Division III admissions dynamics
How to pursue selective schools thoughtfully while keeping fit and long-term opportunity in view
You’ll leave with a clearer, more grounded understanding of how admission at the most selective colleges truly works.
Any guests registered after Friday, July 24 will not have the option to add on a meal as the ordering window has closed.
